Working Hands
This series of diptychs explores the relationship between identity and labor through portraiture. Each pair of images presents a man, shown in two ways: a formal portrait and a close-up detail of his hands in action, performing the work that defines his daily life. The gestures and intimate details found in the close-ups reveal stories of experiences, small elements that are often overlooked in traditional portraiture. The choice of using a diptych format was made to build a more complete representation of identity, one that bridges personal character and the physical expression of work.
